Defect
The snap ring provided to retain the differential side gear and left front drive shaft at their mating interface has an incorrect shape, resulting in insufficient engagement depth with the differential side gear on some vehicles. During high-speed driving, the snap ring may migrate toward the center of the drive shaft, causing the mating connection to separate. In the worst case, drive force is no longer transmitted to the tire and the vehicle becomes inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the snap ring on the left front drive shaft with a corrected part.

状況
トランスミッション内デフサイドギヤと左フロントドライブシャフトの嵌合部の抜け防止のために設けられているスナップリングの形状が不適切なため、デフサイドギヤへの掛かり代が不足しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、高速走行時にスナップリングがドライブシャフトの中心方向に動き、当該嵌合が外れ、最悪の場合、タイヤに駆動力が伝わらなくなり、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、左フロントドライブシャフトのスナップリングを対策品に交換する。
