Defect

On large buses equipped with a gas-valve-type CNG engine, the accelerator cable was routed improperly, leaving insufficient clearance between the cable and the fuel hose or steering power hose on some vehicles. Vibration during driving damages the fuel hose or steering power hose. In the worst case, fuel gas may leak and the engine may stall and be unable to restart, or steering power assist fluid may leak and cause excessively high steering effort.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, add a retaining clip to the accelerator cable and reroute it to provide adequate clearance. Additionally, replace the fuel hose with a new part.

状況

①ガスバルブ式CNGエンジンを搭載した大型バスのアクセルケーブルの取り廻しが不適切なため、燃料ホース又はパワーステアリングホースと当該ケーブルとの隙間が不十分なものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、走行時の振動等により燃料ホース又はパワーステアリングホースが損傷し、最悪の場合、燃料ガスが洩れ原動機が停止して再始動不能となる、又は、パワーステアリングオイルが漏れステアリングの操舵力が過大となるおそれがある。

改善措置

①全車両、アクセルケーブルに固定金具を追加し、取り廻しを変更する。また、燃料ホースを新品と交換する。
