Defect

In the continuously variable transmission, a non-conforming part was installed on the output-side pulley shaft during assembly. The steel belt contacts areas of the pulley outside the normal contact zone, which may damage the belt. Continued use may cause the steel belt to break, leaving the vehicle inoperable.

Corrective action

On all affected vehicles, replace the continuously variable transmission with a conforming unit.

無段式変速機において、出力側プーリ軸に異品を組み付けたものがあるため、スチールベ ルトが通常のプーリー接触部と異なる部位と干渉して、スチールベルトが傷付くおそれが ある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、スチールベルトが破損して走行不能にいたる おそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、無段式変速機を良品と交換する。
