Defect
The pin crimping that secures the parking brake lever to the ratchet is improper, which may cause the ratchet to jam partway through parking brake operation. As a result, the parking brake lever cannot be held in position, and parking brake force may be insufficient.
Corrective action
Replace the parking brake lever assembly with a conforming part on all vehicles.
