Defect
In the steering system, the yoke connecting the steering column to the steering gear box received improper heat treatment during manufacturing, resulting in cracks on some units. Continued use may cause the yoke to fracture, making steering operation impossible.
Corrective action
Inspect the yoke on all vehicles. On any vehicle where cracks are found, replace the steering column assembly with a good unit.

状況
かじ取り装置において、ステアリングコラムとギヤボックスを接続するヨークに、熱処 理が不適切なため亀裂の発生しているものがあり、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当 該ヨークが破損し、ハンドル操作ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ヨークを点検し、亀裂のあるものはステアリングコラムＡｓｓｙを良品と 交換する。
