Defect

In the brake system, the clearance between the brake pipes and the leaf springs is insufficient, causing the brake pipes to contact the leaf springs and sustain surface scratches. The protective plating wears away, allowing corrosion to develop during service. In the worst case, brake fluid leaks and braking force is reduced.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the brake pipes and brake chamber bracket with corrected parts.

 制動装置において、ブレーキパイプとリーフスプリングの隙間が不適切なため、当該ブ レーキパイプがリーフスプリングと接触して表面に傷がつき、表面メッキが剥がれて使用 過程において腐蝕し、最悪の場合、ブレーキ液が漏れて制動力が低下するおそれがある。

改善措置

 全車両、ブレーキパイプとブレーキチャンバーブラケットを対策品と交換する。
