Defect
In the front passenger airbag, the check valve pin inside the inflator may be improperly installed. When the airbag deploys, the gas supply port may not open correctly, preventing the airbag from fully inflating. In a frontal collision, this may cause excessive injury to the occupant.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the front passenger airbag assembly with a conforming unit.

状況
助手席用エアバッグにおいて、インフレータ(膨張装置)内のチェックバルブピンの取 付けが不適切なものがあるため、エアバッグが作動した際、膨張ガスをバッグに供給する ための孔が的確に開けられないため、当該エアバッグが十分に展開せず、前面衝突時に乗 員に過度の傷害を与えるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、助手席用エアバッグ装置を良品と交換する。
