Issue
The brake assist system — which reduces brake pedal effort during hard braking — contains a defectively manufactured sensor that detects brake pedal depression. The defect causes brake assist to activate during normal braking operations, applying greater braking force than the driver intended.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the sensor serial number is verified and, where applicable, the sensor is replaced with a conforming part.

状況
ブレーキアシスト装置（急制動時におけるブレーキペダル踏力軽減装置）において、ブレ ーキペダルの踏込み状態を検知するセンサに製造不良のものがあるため、通常のブレーキ 操作を行った際にブレーキアシストが作動し、運転者の予期した以上の制動がかかるおそ れがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該センサの製造番号を確認し、該当するものは良品と交換する。
