Defect
The reduction gear shaft inside the automatic transmission was improperly assembled on some units. The shaft's roller bearing may wear, producing abnormal noise. Continued use may cause the bearing to fail, resulting in sudden, severe vehicle deceleration or a complete stop.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect for bearing wear by checking ATF contamination and drive shaft rotational resistance. (1) If wear is found, replace the automatic transmission with a conforming unit and fill with high wear-resistance ATF. (2) If no wear is found, replace the ATF with high wear-resistance ATF.

状況
動力伝達装置において、自動変速機内の減速ギヤ用シャフトの組付けが不適切なため、 当該シャフトのローラーベアリングが摩耗して異音が発生することがあり、そのままの状 態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、当該ベアリングが損傷して車両が急激に減速し、また は停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、変速機のATオイルの汚れ、ドライブシャフトの回転力等からベアリングの摩耗 を点検し、 ①摩耗が認められるものは自動変速機を良品に交換するとともに耐摩耗性のよいATオイル を充填する。 ②摩耗が認められないものは耐摩耗性のよいATオイルと交換する。
