Defect
On 4-wheel drive vehicles, the threaded holes for the mounting bolts of the rotary blade coupling—the device mounted mid-propeller shaft that transfers drive force to the rear wheels based on road and driving conditions—were improperly machined. The coupling mounting bolts may loosen and produce abnormal noise. Continued use may cause the bolts to fall out, separating the coupling from the propeller shaft and rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the propeller shaft assembly with a conforming part.

状況
４輪駆動車の動力伝達装置において、プロペラシャフトの中間に取り付けられたロータリ ・ブレード･カップリング（路面状態や走行状況に応じて駆動力を後輪に伝達する装置） の取り付けボルトのねじ穴に加工不良のものがあるため、当該カップリングの取り付けボ ルトが弛んで異音が発生するものがあり、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、ボルトが脱 落して当該カップリングとプロペラシャフトとの接合部が外れ、走行不能となるおそれが ある。
改善措置
全車両、プロペラシャフトアッセンブリを良品と交換する。
