Defect
In the engine, the vacuum pump shaft used for the brake booster and exhaust gas recirculation system received improper heat treatment, resulting in insufficient strength. The shaft may fracture, eliminating vacuum generation. This reduces the vacuum reserve in the brake booster tank, illuminating the brake warning lamp and reducing braking force.
Corrective action
Replace the vacuum pump with a corrected part on all vehicles.

状況
原動機において、制動倍力装置及び排気ガス再循環装置に使用されているバキュームポン プのシャフトの熱処理が不適切なため、強度が不足しているものがあり、当該シャフトが 折損して負圧が発生しなくなることから、制動倍力装置のバキュームタンクの負圧が減少 して、制動装置の警告灯が点灯するとともに、制動力が不足するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該バキュームポンプを対策品と交換する。
