Defect
The air intake duct is improperly designed, allowing the metal connector section of the duct to contact the fuel pipe. This contact causes wear on the fuel pipe. In the worst case, the pipe may develop a hole, resulting in a fuel leak that could lead to a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the air intake duct metal connector and rubber hose with corrected parts, and add a hose retaining clamp. During this service, inspect the fuel pipe; if contact wear is found, replace the pipe with a new one.

状況
エアインテークダクトの構造が不適切なため、当該ダクトの金属コネクタ部と燃料パイプが接触することがある。そのため、燃料パイプが磨耗し、最悪の場合、当該パイプに穴が開き、燃料が漏れることで火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアインテークダクトの金属コネクタ及びゴムホースを対策品に交換するとともに、ホース固定クランプを追加する。また、当該作業時に燃料パイプを点検し、接触した痕跡が認められた場合は当該パイプを新品に交換する。
