Defect
Insufficient frame strength may cause cracks to develop near the cross member mounting area on the right-side frame rail and near the end cross member attachment point on the left-side frame rail. In the worst case, the frame fractures and the vehicle becomes inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add reinforcement plates at the cross member mounting area on the right-side frame rail and at the end cross member attachment point on the left-side frame rail.
