Defect

The lower spare tire carrier has insufficient strength, and the tightening instructions for the spare tire lock bolt are incorrect. Continued use allows driving vibration to progressively loosen the lock bolt. In the worst case, the lower spare tire carrier fractures and the spare tire separates from the vehicle.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the lower spare tire carrier with a corrected part and tighten the lock bolt to its fully seated position.

状況

スペアタイヤの取付装置において、下側のスペアタイヤキャリアの強度が不足していると ともに、スペアタイヤ固定用ロックボルトの締め付け指示が不適切なため、そのままの状 態で使用を続けると、走行中の振動により当該ロックボルトが弛み、最悪の場合、下側の スペアタイヤキャリアが折損してスペアタイヤが脱落するおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、下側のスペアタイヤキャリアを対策品と交換するとともに、ロックボルトを締め 切りの状態まで締め付ける。
