Defect
In the electronically controlled service brake system, a machining defect allows foreign matter to become lodged in the brake actuator (hydraulic control unit), reducing hydraulic pressure. Due to improper control logic in the electric pump that generates brake hydraulic pressure, the fail-safe function does not activate. Approximately five minutes after the brake warning lamp illuminates and the warning buzzer sounds, the pump's protective function engages and shuts the pump down, further reducing hydraulic pressure and extending stopping distance.
Corrective action
① On all vehicles, verify the brake actuator serial number and replace any defective unit (serial numbers KC06 through KI11) with a non-defective part. ② On all vehicles, replace the brake control computer with a corrected part.

状況
電子制御式主制動装置において、加工不良によりブレーキアクチュエータ(油圧制御装置 )に異物が噛み込むことにより油圧が低下した場合、制動用油圧を発生させる電動式ポン プの制御が不適切なためフェールセーフ機能が働かず、ブレーキ警告灯が点灯し警告ブザ ーが鳴った約5分後に当該ポンプの保護機能が働いてポンプが停止して油圧が減少し、制 動距離が長くなるおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、ブレーキアクチュエータの製造番号を確認し、不良品(KC06~KI11)は良品と 交換する。 ②全車両、当該制御用コンピュータを対策品と交換する。
