Defect
In the electric water pump for the hybrid system inverter (the device that converts high-voltage DC to AC), an improper coil winding process during manufacturing caused damage to the coil wire on some units. Corrosion of the damaged wire leads to a broken wire, stopping the water pump and triggering a warning light and reduced-output driving mode. If an inter-winding short circuit occurs, the power fuse blows and the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the water pump with the corrected part.

状況
②ハイブリッドシステムの電圧変換器（インバータ）用電動ウォータポンプにおいて、コイルの巻き線工程が不適切なためコイル線に傷がついたものがある。そのため、コイル線の腐食断線によりウォータポンプが停止して警告灯点灯や出力制限走行となる。また、線間ショートした場合には、電源ヒューズが切れて走行不能となるおそれがある。 インバータ：高電圧の直流を交流に変換する装置
改善措置
②全車両、当該ウォータポンプを対策品に交換する。
