Defect
The lock nut securing the parking brake pedal stroke adjustment nut is insufficiently tightened on some vehicles, allowing both the lock nut and the adjustment nut to loosen. Continued use causes the parking brake pedal stroke to increase. In the worst case, the nuts may come off entirely, rendering the parking brake inoperative.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the tightening condition of the nuts. Retighten any loose nuts to the specified torque.

状況
駐車ブレーキペダルの踏み代調整ナットを固定するナットの締付けに不十分なものがあるため、固定ナットと調整ナットが緩むものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、駐車ブレーキペダルの踏み代が増加し、最悪の場合、ナットが外れて駐車ブレーキが作用しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ナットの締付け状態を点検し、緩みのあるものは規定トルクで締付ける。
