Defect
On vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, grease was not adequately removed from the threaded holes during the shift lever fastening process at the factory. Residual grease on the threads prevents the thread-locking compound from bonding effectively. Continued use may cause the bolt to loosen and fall out. In the worst case, shift operation is lost entirely.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, clean the grease from the threaded holes and replace the bolts with the corrected/revised parts.

状況
手動変速機付車の動力伝達装置において、シフトレバーの固定作業の際のグリースの除去 作業が不適切なため、ネジ穴にグリースが付着し、ゆるみ防止剤の効果を失っているもの があり、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、ボルトが緩んで脱落し、シフト 操作ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ネジ穴のグリースを拭き取るとともにボルトを対策品と交換する。
