Defect
In the engine exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, the return port routing exhaust gas back to the intake side is incorrectly positioned. This creates a temperature differential inside the intake throttle valve, causing the butterfly valve to interfere with the valve case and preventing smooth valve operation, which destabilizes engine speed. In the worst case, the valve sticks in the closed position, causing the engine to stall and preventing restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the intake throttle valve assembly with the corrected part.

状況
原動機の排気ガス再循環装置において、排気ガスの吸気側への戻し口の位置が不適切なた め、吸気絞り弁内部に温度差が生じることにより、バタフライバルブとバルブケースが干 渉し、バタフライバルブの開閉が円滑でなくなり原動機の回転が不安定となり、最悪の場 合、バルブが閉じたままとなることから、原動機が停止し、再始動ができなくなるおそれ がある。
改善措置
全車両、当該吸気絞り弁アッセンブリを対策品と交換する。
