Defect
The electrical noise suppression circuit in the airbag control unit is designed incorrectly. Power supply noise generated during engine start-up may damage the control unit. In the worst case, the airbags may deploy while the vehicle is in motion.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, install a diode box at the power supply terminal of the affected control unit.

状況
エアバックコントロールユニットの電気ノイズを除去する回路が不適切なため、原動機の 始動時に発生する電源ノイズによりコントロールユニットが損傷するものがあり、最悪の 場合、走行中にエアバックが展開するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該コントロールユニット電源端子部にダイオードボックスを追加する。
