Defect
The shift cable connecting the transmission and the shift lever has insufficient strength. Repeated forceful shift operations apply excessive load to the cable, causing the internal core wire to fracture. In the worst case, shift operation may become impossible.

状況
変速機とシフトレバーを連結するシフトケーブルにおいて、強度が不足しているため、少 々強引なシフト操作を繰り返すと、シフトケーブルに過大な荷重が働き、当該シフトケー ブル内部の芯線が折損し、最悪の場合、シフト操作ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該シフトケーブルを対策品と交換する。
