Defect
The shift cable connecting the transmission to the shift lever is improperly installed, causing shift operation to become stiff on some vehicles. Continued use in this condition may fracture the inner core wire of the shift cable and, in the worst case, render the shift lever inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected shift cable with the corrected part.

状況
変速機とシフトレバーを連結するシフトケーブルの取付が不適切なため、シフト操作が重 くなるものがあり、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、シフトケーブル内部の芯線が折損 し、最悪の場合、シフト操作ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該シフトケーブルを対策品と交換する。
