Defect
The headlight switch in the turn signal switch assembly is improperly designed. Continued use in this condition causes wear on the switch's contact plate, increasing contact resistance. This may cause the switch to melt and emit smoke and, in the worst case, result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the vehicle identification number, then either replace the affected turn signal switch with the corrected part or add a relay.

状況
方向指示器の灯火スイッチ部において、前照灯スイッチの構造が不適切なため、そのまま の状態で使用を続けると、当該前照灯スイッチの電極盤の摩耗により接触抵抗が増加し、 当該スイッチ部が溶損して発煙し、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、車台番号を確認し、当該方向指示器を対策品に交換、又は、リレーを追加する。
