Defect
On four-wheel-drive vehicles, the venting structure of the front differential is improperly designed. At high vehicle speeds, lubricating oil may leak from the breather valve, causing oil level to drop and generating abnormal noise. In the worst case, the differential may be damaged and the vehicle rendered inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the breather valve with a corrected part and install it in the specified position. On vehicles with significantly low lubricant level, inspect the differential and replace any damaged components with new parts.

状況
4輪駆動車の前輪用差動装置(フロントディファレンシャル)の通気のための構造が不 適切なため、高速で走行した際、通気弁から潤滑油が漏れるこくがあり、潤滑油が減少し て異音が発生し、最悪の場合、差動装置が損傷して走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、通気弁を対策品と交換し、所定の状態に取り付けるとともに、潤滑油量が著し く少ないものは、差動装置を点検し、損傷がある場合は、差動装置の損傷部品を新品に交 換する。
