Defect
The bracket that mounts the fuel filter to the engine was manufactured with insufficient dimensional accuracy, causing excessive stress to develop in the bracket and potentially leading to fracture. Continued use may then cause the fuel pipe connected to the fuel filter — used to return excess fuel from the injection nozzles — to fracture, resulting in a fuel leak. In the worst case, a vehicle fire may occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the affected bracket and replace it with a new part if a crack is found. Once the corrected replacement bracket becomes available, replace the bracket with the corrected part on all vehicles.

原動機に燃料ろ過器を取り付けているブラケット(取付金具)の加工精度に低いものが あるため、当該ブラケットに過大な応力が発生し、折損する場合がある。更にこのままの 状態で使用を続けると、燃料ろ過器に接続している燃料パイプ(噴射ノズル余剰燃料戻し 用)が折損し、燃料が漏れ、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ブラケットを点検し、亀裂が発生している場合は新品と交換する。更にブ ラケットの対策品が準備でき次第、当該ブラケットを対策品と交換する。
