Defect
On four-wheel-drive vehicles, certain capacitors used in the deceleration sensor (G-sensor) that is a component of the ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) were manufactured defectively. Continued use may cause the G-sensor to malfunction and, in the worst case, extend stopping distance.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the G-sensor with a conforming unit.
