Issue
Some steering gear pinion shaft bearings were machined incorrectly and are subject to damage. Continued use allows the pinion shaft to move axially within the steering gear. In the worst case, the power steering hydraulic mechanism fails to function reliably and power assist during steering is reduced.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the affected bearing is replaced with a conforming part.

状況
かじ取装置において、ステアリングギアのピニオンシャフトベアリングに一部加工不良の ものがあり、当該ベアリングが損傷するため、そのままの状態で使用を続けるとピニオン シャフトがステアリングギア内部で軸方向に移動し、最悪の場合、パワーステアリングの 油圧機構が確実に機能しなくなり操舵時のパワーアシストが減少する。
改善措置
全車両、当該ベアリングを良品と交換する。
