Issue
The throttle cable waterproof boot was manufactured using a material that differs from the design specification due to an improper manufacturing process. The non-conforming boot deteriorates and sustains damage prematurely, allowing rainwater to enter the cable through the damaged area. In the worst case, the intruded water may freeze, preventing throttle operation and causing the engine speed to remain elevated.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the throttle cable with a conforming part.

状況
スロットルケーブルにおいて、防水ブーツの製造が不適切なため、設計指示と異なる材料で製造したものがある。そのため、ブーツが早期に劣化、損傷し、雨水等が損傷部からケーブル内部に浸入し、最悪の場合、浸入した水が凍結し、スロットルを操作できずエンジン回転が下がらないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、スロットルケーブルを良品に交換する。
