Issue

On hybrid system-equipped vehicles, a partial error in the battery charging control logic causes intake manifold vacuum supplied to the vacuum brake booster to temporarily drop immediately after a cold engine start. In the worst case, normal brake pedal effort may produce reduced braking effectiveness.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the engine control computer and hybrid inverter unit with corrected parts. (Because supply of corrected parts requires additional time, an interim measure will notify all owners of the defect and applicable operating precautions.)

状況

 ハイブリッドシステム搭載車において、モータ駆動用バッテリへ充電するための制御が 一部不適切なため、エンジン冷間時の始動直後に真空式ブレーキ倍力装置に作用する吸気 管負圧が一時的に不足することがあり、最悪の場合、通常の踏力ではブレーキの効きが悪 くなるおそれがある。

改善措置

 全車両、当該制御用エンジンコンピュータとインバータユニットを対策品と交換する。  (対策品の供給に時間を要することから、当面の暫定措置として、不具合内容と使用上 の注意を全使用者に通知する。)
