Defect
In the engine, the oil pump driven gear is manufactured from an inappropriate material and formed using an improper process, causing some driven gears to sit at an angle. Additionally, some drive gears have excessively rough tooth surfaces. These conditions cause the driven gear to wear during meshing, generating abnormal noise. Continued operation can lead to gear failure and a drop in oil pressure and, in the worst case, cause the engine to stall while driving, leaving the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the oil pump driven gear with the corrected/revised part.

状況
原動機において、オイルポンプドリブンギヤの材料および成型が不適切なため、ドリブンギヤが傾くものがある。また、ドライブギヤの歯面が粗いものがある。そのため、噛み合う際にドリブンギヤが摩耗して異音が発生し、そのまま使用を続けると、ギヤが破損し油圧が低下して、最悪の場合、走行中にエンジンが停止して走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、オイルポンプドリブンギヤを対策品と交換する。
