Defect
The parking pilot system—a parking assist function that controls steering, accelerator, and brake operation—contains a defective control program in its control unit. When the display is showing a password entry screen and the parking pilot function is activated, the system fails to sound a warning tone when steering assist ends during a parking or departure maneuver. This condition does not conform to the Safety Standards.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the parking assist system control unit with the corrected/updated software. The software update will be distributed remotely via wireless communication for the owner to perform, or alternatively performed at a dealership.

駐車支援システムであるパーキングパイロット※の制御プログラムが不適切なため、ディスプレイにパスワード入力画面を表示したまま当該機能を使用すると、駐車時または出庫時に操舵支援が終了した際、警告音が吹鳴しない。そのため、保安基準に適合しない。 ※ステアリング、アクセル、ブレーキ操作を制御して駐車を支援する。
改善措置
全車両、駐車支援システム制御ユニットを対策プログラムに書き換える。 なお、プログラムの書き換えは、対策プログラムを無線通信で遠隔配信し、使用者にて行う。または販売店にて行う。
