Defect
The telematics control unit in the automatic emergency call system contains a defective control program. If a connected call is dropped in an area with no signal coverage and the vehicle subsequently re-enters a coverage area, the system does not automatically reconnect the call. This condition does not conform to the Safety Standards.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the telematics control unit with the corrected/updated software. The software update will be distributed remotely via wireless communication for the owner to perform, or alternatively performed at a dealership.

状況
事故自動緊急通報装置において、テレマティクスコントロールユニットの制御プログラムが不適切なため、通話接続中に圏外で接続が途切れた後、圏内に入っても自動で再接続しない。そのため、保安基準に適合しない。
改善措置
全車両、テレマティクスコントロールユニットを対策プログラムに書き換える。なお、プログラムの書き換えは、対策プログラムを無線通信で遠隔配信し、使用者にて行う。または販売店にて行う。
