Defect
In the automatic emergency call system, the telematics control unit contains a software error that prevents the system from automatically re-establishing a call connection after coverage is lost mid-call, even after the vehicle re-enters a coverage area. This renders the vehicle non-compliant with Safety Standards.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the telematics control unit with the corrected software.
