Defect
The machining of the snap ring groove on the mainshaft 5th-gear retaining snap ring, and the snap ring assembly jig, are both incorrect. This results in insufficient snap ring engagement depth. During gear shifts, the 5th gear may slip out of position, producing abnormal noise. In the worst case, the rear wheels may lock.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the mainshaft assembly with a conforming part.

状況
メインシャフトの5速ギヤ固定用のスナップリング組付け溝部の切削加工及びスナップリング組付け治具が不適切なため、スナップリングの掛かり代が小さいものがある。そのため、変速時に5速ギヤがずれて異音が発生し、最悪の場合、後輪がロックするおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、メインシャフトアッセンブリを良品と交換する。
