Defect
Improper assembly procedures for routing the engine wiring harness onto the frame caused the harness to be damaged during installation. Repeated steering inputs and other operations can propagate the damage into a broken wire. This may result in malfunction of the headlamps, brake lamps, turn signals, speedometer, and horn, or cause the engine to stall and fail to restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the wiring harness; replace it with a new harness if damage is found.

状況
ワイヤハーネスにおいて、フレームへの組付け手順が不適切なため、組付け時に当該ハーネスを傷つけたものがある。そのため、ハンドル操作等を繰り返し行うと、当該ハーネスが断線し、前照灯、制動灯、方向指示器、速度計、警音器の作動不良になる、または、エンストして再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ワイヤハーネスを点検し、傷があるものはワイヤハーネスを新品と交換する。
