Defect

The routing attachment positions of the front sub-harness and turn signal switch harness are inadequate. When the steering is turned to full left lock, the harness is pinched between the headlight stay and the frame and bends sharply. Repeated bending during use causes a broken wire, resulting in malfunctions of the headlights, turn signals, speedometer, and horn. In the worst case, the engine stalls and cannot be restarted.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the front sub-harness with a corrected part and the turn signal switch harness with a new part, and change the harness routing attachment positions.

状況

フロントサブハーネスとウインカスイッチハーネスの固定位置が不適切なため、ハンドルを左転舵した際にヘッドライトステーとフレーム間に当該ハーネスが挟まり、屈曲することがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、屈曲の繰り返しにより断線し、前照灯、方向指示器、速度計、警音器の作動不良や、最悪の場合、エンストして再始動できなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、フロントサブハーネスを対策品に、ウインカスイッチハーネスを新品に交換するとともに、固定位置を変更する。
