Defect
The wiring harness routing design is improper, allowing the harness to contact the underside of the fuel tank. Continued use allows road vibration to wear through the harness insulation, causing a short circuit and engine malfunction. In the worst case, the engine may stall while driving.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the wiring harness and reroute it to the correct position. If wear is found on the insulation, repair the affected section or replace the entire wiring harness assembly with a new part.

状況
ワイヤーハーネスの配索設計が不適切なため、燃料タンク裏面と干渉していることがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、走行中の振動によりワイヤーハーネスの被覆が摩耗して短絡し、エンジン不調となり、最悪の場合、走行中にエンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ワイヤーハーネスを点検し、配索を適切な位置に変更するとともに、被覆に摩耗を確認した場合は、補修またはワイヤーハーネス一式を新品に交換する。
