Defect
In the starting system, the connector joining the ignition switch lead wire to the wiring harness is incorrectly designed, allowing water intrusion to corrode the terminals inside the connector during service. Continued use allows the corrosion to progress, causing poor electrical continuity. In the worst case, the engine may stall while driving.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, a waterproof cover will be added to the connector and the connector terminals will be inspected. Where corrosion is found, the ignition switch lead wire and complete wiring harness will be replaced.

状況
始動装置において、イグニッションスイッチリード線とワイヤーハーネスを接続するカプラの構造が不適切なため、使用過程において、当該カプラ内部の端子が、被水により腐食することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、腐食が進行して導通不良となり、最悪の場合、走行中にエンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、カプラに防水カバーを追加するとともに、カプラ端子部を点検し、腐食を確認した場合は、イグニッションスイッチリード線とワイヤーハーネス一式を交換する。
