Defect
During manufacture of certain driver-side SRS airbag inflators, moisture control after propellant filling was inadequate. As a result, ambient temperature fluctuations during vehicle use can cause the propellant to expand and lose density. During airbag deployment, internal inflator pressure may rise abnormally, rupturing the inflator housing and scattering fragments. This may result in injury to occupants.
Corrective action
Replace the driver-side SRS airbag inflator on all vehicles with a new part.

状況
運転者席側ＳＲＳエアバッグのインフレータ（膨張装置）において、インフレータ製造時におけるガス発生剤充填後の吸湿管理が不適切なため、使用過程での外気温等の影響によりガス発生剤が膨張し、密度が低下するものがある。そのため、エアバッグ展開時にインフレータ内圧が異常上昇し、インフレータ容器が破損して飛び散り、乗員が負傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、運転者席側ＳＲＳエアバッグのインフレータを新品と交換する。
