Defect
On vehicles equipped with a Dual Combined Brake System that links front and rear brake operation, the second master cylinder — which transfers braking force from the front wheel to the rear wheel — is improperly designed. This may cause the hydraulic return passage that releases brake pressure to become blocked. As a result, the rear brake remains applied. In the worst case, the components around the brake may overheat and a vehicle fire may occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, use an inspection jig to check the second master cylinder for blockage. If blockage is confirmed, replace the second master cylinder with a corrected part.

状況
前後輪のブレーキが連動して作動する機能(デュアルコンバインドブレーキシステム)が付いた制動装置において、制動時に前輪から後輪へ制動力を伝えるセカンドマスターシリンダの構造が不適切なため、ブレーキの液圧を解除するための油路が閉塞するものがある。そのため、後輪ブレーキが利いたままの状態となり、最悪の場合、ブレーキ周りが過熱し、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、検査治具でセカンドマスターシリンダの閉塞有無を点検し、閉塞が認められる場合は、セカンドマスターシリンダを対策品と交換する。
