Defect
On this motorcycle, the washer at the side stand return spring hook pin clamping point has insufficient strength. Spring tension during side stand operation causes the washer to buckle, concentrating bending stress at the hook pin clamping point with repeated use. The hook pin may fracture, allowing the side stand to drop while the motorcycle is in motion. This activates the side stand retraction reminder interlock, causing the engine to cut out suddenly.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the side stand washer with the corrected part, and replace the return spring hook pin and nut with new parts.

状況
二輪車のサイドスタンドのリターンスプリングフックピン締め付け部にあるワッシャー の強度が不足しているため、サイドスタンド操作時のスプリング張力によりワッシャーが 座屈することがあり、サイドスタンド操作の繰り返しによって当該フックピン締め付け部 に曲げ応力が集中するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該フックピン が折損し、走行中にサイドスタンドが下りることにより、サイドスタンド戻し忘れ防止機 構が働き、エンジンが突然停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、サイドスタンドのワッシャーを対策品と交換するとともに、リターンスプリング フックピン及びナットを新品と交換する。
