Defect
The outer sheath material of the front wheel brake cable on motorcycles is unsuitable. At tight bends in the cable routing, repeated flexing in cold conditions causes crack to develop in the outer sheath, tightening the bend further and ultimately fracturing the outer casing spring. Continued use may cause the inner cable to sever at the fracture point, resulting in loss of front wheel brake operation.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the front wheel brake cable with the corrected part.

状況
二輪車の前輪ブレーキケーブル外側の被覆材が不適切なため、ケーブル配索の曲がりが きつい箇所で寒冷時に屈曲を繰り返すと、外側被覆材に亀裂が発生してケーブルの曲がり がよりきつくなり、アウターケーシングスプリングが破断するものがある。そのため、そ のまま使用を続けると、破断箇所でインナーケーブルが切断し、前輪ブレーキが操作でき なくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、前輪ブレーキケーブルを対策品と交換する。
