Defect
On motorcycles equipped with a linked front-and-rear brake system, the lip dimensions of the hydraulic pressure retention seal inside the Proportional Control Valve (PCV), which controls front-to-rear braking force distribution, are improperly machined. As a result, the tip of the seal lip collapses, reducing the seal's ability to maintain hydraulic pressure. Brake fluid may then leak, causing the rear brake to lose effectiveness.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the PCV for hydraulic pressure retention. Any PCV unable to maintain pressure must be replaced with a conforming unit.

状況
前後輪のブレーキが連動して作動する機能が付いた二輪車において、前後制動力配分をコントロールするプロポーショナルコントロールバルブ（ＰＣＶ）内のブレーキ液圧保持シールのリップ加工寸法が不適切なため、リップの先端が潰れて液圧保持のシール機能が低下するものがある。そのため、ブレーキ液が漏れて後輪ブレーキが効かなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ＰＣＶの液圧保持状態を点検し、液圧が保持できないものはＰＣＶを良品と交換する。
