Defect
The dust boot on the ball joint connecting the front suspension lower arm to the steering knuckle was damaged during the manufacturing process on some units. Continued use allows mud and water to enter through the damaged area, causing abnormal wear on the bearing's resin seat. In the worst case, the ball stud may pull out.
Corrective action
Inspect the lower arm ball joint dust boot on all vehicles. Replace any boot showing damage with a conforming part.

状況
緩衝装置の前輪用ロアアームとナックルを連結している継手(ポールジョイント)におい て、製造過程にてダストブーツを損傷したものがあり、そのままの状態で使用を続けると 、当該ダストブーツの損傷部より泥水が侵入してベアリングの樹脂シートが異常摩擦し、 最悪の場合、ポールスタッドが抜け出すおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ロアアームポールジョイントのダストブーツを点検し、傷の認められるもの は良品と交換する。
