Defect
In the engine compartment, the air conditioner compressor wiring is routed improperly, causing it to contact the power supply wiring. Rust-prevention grease from the power supply wiring coupler seeps out and accumulates sand and debris. Under vibration, this contact damages the wiring insulation and, in the worst case, causes a short circuit that can result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
Inspect all vehicles. Where the compressor wiring contacts the power supply wiring, correct the routing and add a protective tube. Replace any damaged wiring with a conforming part.

状況
原動機室内のエアコンディショナー用電気配線において、コンプレッサー用配線の取り回 しが不適切なため、電源用配線と干渉しているものがあり、電源用配線のカプラー内の防 錆用グリースがにじみ出し、砂等が付着した場合、振動等により、配線の被覆が損傷し、 最悪の場合、配線が短絡して、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両点検し、当該コンプレッサー用配線が電源用配線と干渉しているものは、取り回し を修正し、保護用チューブを追加する。また、配線が損傷しているものは、良品と交換す る。
