Defect
The engine timing belt was manufactured using an inadequate manufacturing process, resulting in insufficient tooth strength on affected belts. Continued use damages the belt teeth, causing warning lamps and warning messages to illuminate. In the worst case, the engine may stall and become unable to restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the timing belt and replace any affected belt with a conforming part.

状況
原動機のタイミングベルトにおいて、当該ベルトの製造工程が不適切なため、ベルト歯の強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けるとベルト歯が損傷して、警告灯、警告表示が点灯し、最悪の場合、エンジンが停止して再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、タイミングベルトを点検し、該当するものは良品と交換する。
