Filing in context
The Computer is the most frequently cited component category in this archive, appearing in 42 of its 4,890 filings. This filing is one of 12 Nissan notifications from 2025 in this archive. For scale, 1,147 of the 4,890 filings in this archive report a larger number of affected vehicles; the vehicles involved here were manufactured over a span of about 2 years and 4 months.
Defect
The lithium-ion battery controller contains incorrect control software that may prevent accurate monitoring of the battery state of charge. This causes the battery level gauge displayed on the instrument cluster to fluctuate repeatedly. Continued driving may trigger the e-POWER system warning lamp. In the worst case, the system incorrectly determines that the battery is insufficiently charged, shuts off power output to the drive motor, and renders the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
Verify the part number of the lithium-ion battery controller control software on all vehicles and reprogram applicable units with the corrected/updated software.
Affected models & chassis ranges
This filing lists 2 type code(s). A vehicle is affected if its chassis number falls within one of the ranges below.
