Defect
On large tractors (single rear axle), the yoke shaft and tube of the propeller shaft were welded using a non-standard procedure, resulting in insufficient weld penetration at the affected joint. Repeated stress during use causes cracks to form at the weld. Continued operation allows the cracks to progress to a complete fracture, separating the shaft and interrupting power transmission, leaving the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the propeller shaft with a conforming unit.

状況
大型トラクタ(後輪1軸)のプロペラシャフトにおいて、ヨークシャフトとチューブを正規と異なる操作で溶接したため、当該部位の溶接溶け込み量が不足しているものがある。そのため、使用過程で繰り返し応力を受けると溶接部に亀裂が発生し、そのまま使用を続けると、破断・分離し動力が伝わらなくなり走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、プロペラシャフトを良品と交換する。
