Defect
On large touring buses, the tightening process for the steering wheel retaining bolt was improperly executed, resulting in vehicles shipped without the bolt installed. As a result, the steering wheel may detach from the shaft.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the steering wheel retaining bolt. If the bolt is absent, install and torque it to the specified value. If the bolt is present, confirm and tighten to the specified torque.

状況
大型観光バスにおいて、ハンドル固定ボルトの締付け工程が不適切なため、当該ボルトを取付けずに出荷された車両がある。そのため、ハンドルがシャフトから外れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ハンドル固定ボルトを点検し、取付けられていない場合は当該ボルトを規定トルクで締付け、取付けられていた場合は規定トルクで締付ける。
