Defect
On heavy-duty trucks and buses, the emissions control unit (ACM) was incorrectly configured, causing the operating sequence used to confirm a sensor fault — spanning from engine shutdown through the next engine start — to exceed the number of cycles permitted under the Safety Standards.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the ACM control software with the correct settings.
